Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 1 November 2026 · Last Updated: 1 November 2026

These terms govern your use of Kalasutra Ethnic and any purchases made through this site. By using the site, you agree to the terms below.

1. About Us

www.kalasutra.uk is operated by:

Anup Raut, trading as Kalasutra

Address: 24 Teasel Way, Hampton, Peterborough PE7 8NU, United Kingdom

Email: [email protected]

References in these Terms & Conditions to "we", "us" or "our" mean the seller named above.

2. These Terms

These terms apply to orders placed by consumers on www.kalasutra.uk for delivery in the United Kingdom. Please read them, together with our Privacy Policy and our Returns, Exchanges & Cancellation policy, before placing an order.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

3. Placing an Order and When the Contract Is Formed

When you place an order, we will email you to acknowledge it. Our acceptance of your order takes place when we email you to confirm it has been dispatched, at which point a contract is formed between you and us.

If we cannot accept your order — for example because the item is out of stock or there is an obvious pricing error — we will tell you and will not charge you, or will refund you in full if payment has already been taken.

4. Prices and Payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay.

If a price shown on the site is obviously wrong due to an error, we will contact you before accepting your order.

We do not take payment online. After you place your order, call us on the number on our Contact page to pay. [TO CONFIRM: how phone payments are taken, e.g. bank transfer details given by phone or a payment link sent by email — taking card numbers by phone conflicts with the privacy policy's promise never to ask for a CVV] We dispatch your order once payment has been received.

5. Delivery

We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout. Unless we agree otherwise, we will deliver within 30 days of the contract being formed. If we are delayed by events outside our control, we will contact you as soon as possible.

The goods are your responsibility from the time they are delivered to you or to someone you nominate.

6. Your Right to Cancel

You can cancel your contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. How to cancel, the exceptions, and how refunds work are set out on our Returns, Exchanges & Cancellation page, which forms part of these terms.

7. Faulty Goods and Your Legal Rights

We are under a legal duty to supply goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If goods are faulty or not as described, you have the remedies set out in the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including a right to reject within 30 days of delivery. For detailed information, visit the Citizens Advice website or call 0808 223 1133.

8. Our Responsibility for Loss or Damage

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your statutory rights in relation to the goods, or for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

We supply goods for domestic and private use only. We are not liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

9. Use of This Site

You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting unauthorised access to our systems, introducing malicious code, using automated tools to scrape the site without our permission, or placing fraudulent orders. We may suspend access for anyone who does so.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including text, images, logos and the Kalasutra name, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse it without our written permission, except as permitted by law.

11. Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such an event happens, we will contact you as soon as possible, and you may cancel and receive a refund for goods you have paid for but not received.

12. Complaints

If you have a complaint, please contact us. Our complaints process, and your options if we cannot resolve your complaint, are described on our Contact page.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can bring proceedings in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are those in force when you placed it.
